The Ancient Temple


Description: A run through of Ancient Temple was used as a segue to entertain guests during one of the annual awards show dinners for Synthes USA. The focus for this level was both to add spots of color to each area of the temple for emphasis, but also to link each room together into a cohesive display of the year's theme, Indiana Jones.

Challenges: Amid a time constraint, I was able to use premade assets as well as custom textures to mix both the spirit and feel of that year's theme while at the same time adding small touches to reference the culture via mention of their manufactured product and logo.


The Restaurant

Description: The map The Restaurant was created based on my initial level design document which centered around the Cow Tails universe I created at my local improv writing group. It was my first real delve into UT3 and included custom static meshes, Kismet sequences with movers and sound, as well as the use of Bink video on to a material for playback.

Challenges: Learning the ins and outs of the editor and doing my best to grasp all of the knowledge that tutorials and forums had to offer came to be the biggest challenge. Over time I grew more efficient and comfortable with UT3 and was able to experiment with various processes for the level.
